Women’s Hobby Night. Thursday, October 8, 2009 at 7:30. This is your evening to come and relax, meet up with some new and/or old friends while doing what you love to do. If you knit, scrapbook, crochet, make ornaments or cards, etc…bring your hobby with you, get something accomplished, maybe teach a member about your hobby…all while chatting and getting to know others around town. Even if you don’t currently have a hobby, but just want to get out of the house and socialize…please come and see what everyone else is up to. Light refreshments will be served. Hayride and Pumpkin picking at Ward’s Berry Farm. Sunday, October 25, 2009 at 12:15 p.m. Join us for an afternoon of fall fun! We will meet at Ward’s Berry Farm, 614 South Main Street, Sharon for a hayride and pumpkin picking for each child. There are also swings, animals, a sandbox and a haystack to climb! The Metropolitan Opera Comes to Legacy Place! (Womens/Couples Event) Wednesday, February 24th at 6:30pm. Tenor Plácido Domingo performs in HD on the big screen in Simon Bocenagra, the tragic story of a father and his lost daughter. Tickets are $22 and tend to sell out quickly so please order through the Legacy Place Cinema Box office asap.

Annual Wine Tasting Event. Saturday, April 10 at 7 p.m. Please join us for a fun and informative wine tasting with Matt Carroll, owner of the Medfield Wine Shoppe. The theme is "Great Wines at a Great Price." Matt will personally pick 6 wines that he thinks are "affordable luxuries" at the time of the tasting. There will be a 20% discount on wines purchased at the event. The Cost is $25 per person, and please bring an appetizer or dessert. Please RSVP to westwoodnewcomers@yahoo.com by April 2. Please submit the event cost to Westwood Newcomers P.O. Box 2672 Westwood. Maximum number of people is 16--so RSVP early! The wine tasting event is open to past members and friends.
Family Fun at Plaster Fun Time. Sunday, April 11 at 1:00pm, Rt. 1 Dedham (in Panera Bread plaza). Bring your children and don't forget their creativity! Children will have the opportunity to paint a piece of pottery to take home with them. The cost of this event is $5 per child. Please RSVP by April 4.

Dinner at Kiku Yama. Bring your significant other, spouse or just yourself to Kiku Yama for sake and teppanyaki on May 1st at 7:30 pm at Dedham's Kiku Yama. Belly up to the grill with fellow Westwood Newcomers and watch the chef light a flaming onion volcano! They also serve sushi as well delicious drinks with umbrellas! How can you resist? Women’s Nigh Out at Acapulco’s - Cinco de Mayo! Wednesday, May 5th at 7:30 p.m. Join us for Margaritas, Mexican food and great conversation. Please RSVP by Monday, May 3rd.
Family Hike at Hale Reservation. Sunday, May 16, 2010 from 1-2:30 p.m. We will meet at Hale Reservation’s main office, 80 Carby Street, for an afternoon hike.
